2024年7月18至19日，美中贸易全国委员会会长克雷格·艾伦（Craig Allen）率代表团一行到访广东，并同广东省省长王伟中、广州市市长孙志洋会面。代表团得到广东省、广州市、深圳市多部门的热烈欢迎和大力支持，就推动粤美经贸合作展开充分交流。
July 18 to 19, 2024, US-China Business Council (USCBC) President Craig Allen led a delegation to Guangdong, meeting with Wang Weizhong, Governor of Guangdong, and Sun Zhiyang, Mayor of Guangzhou. The delegation received warm reception and support from multiple departments of Guangdong Provincial Government, Guangzhou Municipal Government, and Shenzhen Municipal Government. The visit facilitated productive dialogues on commercial cooperation between Guangdong and the US business community.
广东省省长王伟中感谢委员会为深化粤美贸易投资合作作出的积极努力，希望委员会持续发挥桥梁纽带作用，鼓励美资企业进一步利用广东省作为中国经济大省、人口大省、外贸大省和创新大省的先天优势，把握粤港澳大湾区建设的战略机遇，进一步参与广东高质量发展进程。
Guangdong Governor Wang Weizhong was appreciative of USCBC’s efforts in deepening Guangdong-US cooperation in trade and investment. He hoped USCBC would continue playing a bridging role for US companies to further leverage Guangdong’s advantages as an economic and innovation powerhouse, a labor and talent base, and a gateway to foreign trade. He also suggested US companies seize the opportunities of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to participate in the high quality development of Guangdong.
广州市市长孙志洋向代表团介绍广州市的制造业基础、开放门户和创新中心等区位禀赋，欢迎美资企业积极参与推动数字化、低碳化变革转型，鼓励深化双方在绿色能源、先进制造、生物医药、数字经济、物流等领域务实合作。
Guangzhou Mayor Sun Zhiyang introduced the city’s strengths as a traditional manufacturing base, an open gateway to the global market, and an innovation hub. He welcomed US companies to actively participate in the city’s digital and sustainable transformation, expanding partnerships in areas such as green energy, advanced manufacturing, biomedicine, digital economy, and logistics.
会面中，艾伦会长赞赏广东省和广州市在推动经济发展、培育科技创新、加速绿色转型方面取得的成就，并对当地持续推动改革开放、优化营商环境所作的不懈努力予以肯定。委员会将持续支持美资企业在粤、在穗进一步发展，期待围绕扩大经贸合作、加强应对气候变化的地方行动，同广东各方保持密切互动。
In the meetings, President Allen commended the achievements of Guangdong and Guangzhou in economic growth, technological innovation, and decarbonization. He also recognized the continued efforts of local governments in improving the business environment through reforms and opening up drives. USCBC will continue to support US business development in Guangdong and Guangzhou and work closely with local stakeholders in expanding trade ties and stepping up subnational actions on climate change.
7月18日，委员会还同广东省商务厅共同举办广东省与美资跨国公司绿色发展CEO对话会，并携手能源基金会、中国石化工业联合会、中国循环经济协会及美中绿色能源促进会，邀请中美企业代表就广东能源转型路径、CCUS助力广东碳中和、分享循环经济最佳实践三大主题展开专题交流、专业分享。
On July 18, USCBC co-hosted the Guangdong-US Multinational Enterprises Green Development CEO Dialogue in partnership with the Guangdong Provincial Department of Commerce. The event was also supported by the Energy Foundation, China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, China Association of Circular Economy, and US-China Green Energy Council. The three-topic panel discussion convened senior business executives from Chinese and US companies, officials from governmental agencies, and experts from industry associations to discuss pathways to Guangdong’s energy transition, the role of CCUS, and the best practice of circular economy.
7月19日，委员会首次到访深圳，并在深圳市区两级多方支持下组织中美经贸交流会，为两国企业拓展互利互惠的商业合作搭建对话平台。
On July 19, the USCBC delegation made its inaugural visit to Shenzhen. With support from the governments at the municipal and district level, the delegation had a meeting featuring US-China cooperation in business and trade. The event was also joined by local entrepreneurs and government departments, aiming at facilitating mutually beneficial commercial cooperation between US and Chinese businesses.
本次共有近40家会员企业参与代表团在粤活动，包括电子信息、能源化工、生命健康、高端制造、互联网科技、食品消费、金融投资等多个行业的全球领先企业，数量创历次到访地方代表团新高。
The number of delegation sets a new record with nearly 40 USCBC members from a wide range of industry and sectors, including information and communication technologies, energy and chemicals, healthcare and life sciences, manufacturing, e-commerce, consumer goods, and financial services.
